The first movie that will be shown this evening is Italian film La Nostra Terra (Mafia and Red Tomatoes) at 7pm.

The 2014 box-office hit tackles the issue of mafia power over communities with redemptive joy and a smile, based on the real life work of the Libera Association.

No sane Italian would intentionally cross a Mafia boss, which says a lot about the motley crew of would-be organic farmers in La Nostra Terra, who are determined to work the land confiscated by the government from capo (mafia boss) Nicola Sansone.

Unseen powers, orchestrated by Sansone from jail, block them at every turn. So they enlist the help of the Anti-Mafia Board who send Filippo, a neurotic regulator.

Filippo is not encouraged by the strange group who make up the co-op, but the Boss's own farmer, a cynic named Cosimo, injects some knowhow into the operation.

Amidst the quarrelling, the co-op members find ways to cooperate, and they finally produce a harvest.

But suddenly Sansone is back, and he is not pleased with the tomatoes.

At 9pm, an Argentine film Un Novio Para Mi Mujer (A Boyfriend for My Wife) will be screened.

The romantic comedy tells the story of Tenso who does not know how to deal with his wife, Tana – how to tell her that he wants to separate because their marriage is a complete mess due to her terrible temper.

He just does not have the nerve to ask Tana for a divorce. So Carlos, a friend, suggests that he tries to get Tana to leave him by hiring an old irresistible ladykiller to seduce her.

When Tana falls in love with him, she will want to leave Tenso. But all of this proves more difficult than anyone imagined. Meanwhile, Tana becomes a hit on local radio where she can complain about everything she wants to.

The film received the Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards at the 2008 Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Argentina.
