They are about to release their new seasonal Summer 2017 menu in September, including an exciting vegetarian organic summer menu

Orakei Bay’s chefs continually strive to source local and sustainable produce, and are intent on reducing waste and minmising their impact on our planet, while simultaneously upholding their renowned quality levels of food and service. All the organic vegetables on this new menu are sourced as close to the kitchen as possible to have a positive impact on the global carbon footprint and all food will be served on renewable and sustainable crafted palm leaf plates and bowls to give guests the organic feel and look.

To ensure availability of all their seasonal ingredients, the chefs at Orakei Bay recommend that all orders are finalised two weeks prior to their client’s anticipated event, and if local or organic ingredients are not available, their head chef will work with the client to recommend other sustainable options.

Orakei Bay’s idyllic and perfectly positioned venue centre offers everything required to ensure every event is a success, with their culinary team of experienced restaurant chefs creating innovative cuisine, inspired by the seasons. Here is a ‘sneak peek’ of just some of the items featured on their fabulous new menu.

-  wonton snap with tomato balsamic mascarpone and crisp prosciutto

-  whipped goat cheese with red grape and dukkah crumbs

-  nashi pear jelly with white anchovy, hazelnut and horseradish

-  brined akaroa salmon with cucumber gel, dill and black sago

-  smoked eel with white callebaut chocolate tuile

-  cantonese style duck and coriander rice paper roll with soy dip              

-  salt cod and green chilli beignets with coriander lime dip

-  babaganoush fritter with whipped ricotta and thyme leaves

-  crispy prawn tortellini with kimchi aioli

-  steamed duck dumpling with spring onion and tamarind lime dip

-  myanmar chicken with lime leaf and coriander

-  crab filo parcel with japanese miso mayonnaise

-  spiced tomato mozzarella arancini with blue cheese parsley dip
