The trial of a GP charged with the manslaughter of her profoundly disabled daughter that the mother was "very reluctant" to give her the sedative it is alleged she gave her daughter a toxic dose of the day she died.

Dr Bernadette Scully (58) of Emvale, Bachelor's Walk, Tullamore, Co Offaly has denied the manslaughter of Emily Barut (11) by an act of gross negligence.
