Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): One thing that can brighten up one’s eyes will be this wonderful word: food. To many, food these days will most likely be what one would call fast food or just plain old processed food.
Gone are the days when everything was just bought straight from the grocery store without being aware of the actual contents making up the product. This is where the concept of organic product comes in. Organic produce, in this context, are produce grown without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Come the future and the word organic will be here to stay. Organic basically means produce from plants grown without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides or any other artificial enhancement.
Infinity Organic is a store located at 4th Mile in Dimapur near the Agri Expo site. The store might just be what you need to live a life free from artificially-treated produce.
Who does not want to eat or use a range of products that is chemical-free, ‘humane’ and greenly produced as it gets? The outlet assures to provide unadulterated organic products now that it apparently is the first in Nagaland that claims to sell certified organic food, health and beauty items. The range encompasses muesli, grains, pulses, flours, dried fruit and nuts, tea, shampoos, soaps, creams, health drinks etc.
Consumers are now beginning to be more conscious of what they buy considering impact on both health and the environment. For instance, parents want to give their children the safest food there is available. With this in mind, the proprietor of Infinity Organic Abokali Jimomi decided to take it to another level: she brought a variety of different certified brands from the country and opened the outlet.
Consumers typically might think that the slightly-high-priced organic items are not cut out to suit majority of the people. The fact remains that these products goes through a rigorous, intensive, lengthy and slow process before the whole process of packaging before reaching the market. It may even take years to get certified.
Infinity Organic assures to make sure that each product in the store has undergone the same system, which understands ecological and biological principles.
The store not only has products from outside the state but retails an array of herbal tea from Arunachal Pradesh as well.
Very soon, Jimomi wants to start penetrate the Nagaland market with more local produce and getting trusted certified products. One cannot be too sure about how organic an item might be.
There was an era when many dismissed going organic as an expensive trend. But now people are aware of the benefits of organic produce. That understanding might give them a chance to go green and live a healthy, long life.
