Celebrating nature’s omnipotence: Nuxe launches Bio Organic collection

French cosmeceutical house Nuxe has launched Nuxe Bio Organic, a collection of ten socially responsible, certified organic skincare products.

The new range is, according to Nuxe Global Travel Retail Director Marion Bruimaud, “one of the [brand’s] most significant new product launches in recent times.”

In Bio Organic Nuxe gives priority to active ingredients derived from green technologies. The brand has favoured extraction or processing methods most suited to each plant ingredient “to reveal its potential with minimum environmental impact”.

Since its creation in 1991, nature has been at the heart of Nuxe through its commitment to protecting nature and reducing the impact of its products on the environment.

In 2008 Nuxe became one of the first cosmetic groups to anticipate an emerging trend for organic cosmetics with the launch of Bio-Beaute by Nuxe in France.

Nuxe describes Bio Organic as a “new-generation, organic, skincare range with ultra-effective, natural origin, active ingredients to meet the skin’s essential needs”. It “eliminates gender stereotypes” and can be appreciated by both men and women.

All products are formulated in France and certified organic by Ecocert. They contain on average 99% natural-origin ingredients and over 52% organic ingredients. Nuxe uses 100% botanical oils and 100% natural-origin scents.

Nuxe prioritises local production and sustainable supply networks, together with extracts obtained using green technologies. The products are suitable for vegans.

Premium, eco-designed packaging is another key environmentally responsible feature, with jars made of up to 90% recycled glass.

Nuxe Bio Organic products include the 30ml Ultimate Night Recovery Oil which features rice oil extract, combined with organic botanical oils (avocado, sesame, jojoba, macadamia), to immerse normal to dry skin in comfort all night long for a smooth, radiant complexion upon waking.

The rice oil extract is a ‘Made in France’ green extract from a trio of red, black and white rice cultivated in the Camargue region, in the South of France.

With its Protected Geographical Indication, Camargue rice fulfils strict specifications in terms of production, identification and traceability. Rice oil extract strengthens the skin’s defence and repair systems during the night.

Essential Antioxidant Serum (30ml) offers highly concentrated antioxidant properties of chia seed extract and natural stabilised vitamin C to boost youthful skin.

According to Nuxe, chia is known as a super food, boasting natural antioxidant properties which help activate the skin’s resistance to everyday harsh external factors such as stress, fatigue, pollution and smoke.

Micellar Cleansing Water (200ml) is a make-up remover which includes moringa seed extract while Glow Rich Moisturising Cream (50ml) features botanical citrus cells and softening botanical oils including argan, macadamia and apricot.

Reviving Eye Care (15ml) combines Breton buckwheat and natural-origin Vitamin E to protect the delicate eye contour area and correct signs of fatigue.

The buckwheat selected by Nuxe is cultivated in Brittany, using organic farming methods.

It is extracted using supercritical CO2, a neutral and non-polluting solvent which can be recycled and reused almost infinitely. The extract stimulates the moisturising action while reducing puffiness in the eye contour area.

Skin Correcting Moisturising Fluid (50ml) combines locally-made marine algae extract with natural-origin hyaluronic acid to optimise daily moisturising and the multi-perfecting Tinted Cream (50ml) offers 24-hour moisturising skincare. The product is available in light and medium shades and contains Paï Mu Tan white tea extract.

Radiance Detox Mask (50ml) is a sensorial gel with sesame seed oil and citrus extract to detoxify the skin. Cultivated in Africa by organic fair-trade farmers, the sesame seeds are cold pressed in France to yield a high quality, pure botanical oil which is rich in sesamin, sesamolin and vitamin E.

The 50ml Micro-exfoliating Cleansing Mask offers a double exfoliating action: physical exfoliation by powdered apricot kernels, a natural ‘no-waste’ exfoliator, and chemical exfoliation by 100% botanical salicylic acid.

And the tenth product in the Bionic Organic range, the 100ml Replenishing Nourishing Body Oil, blends hazelnut, sesame, safflower and sunflower oils to nourish and replenish dry skin.
